This is a site I developed and maintain for an non-profit organization I belong to, the Santa Clara Valley 99s. Originally set up as an HTML site back in the ’90s [gasp], the purpose was to increase awareness of the organization and our activities and provide potential members with the information needed if they want to join. I wrote most of the content.

The current Santa Clara Valley 99s site, now converted to WordPress, still has the same goals. In addition to info for prospects, the site provides timely information for current members: meeting times & location, an events calendar, newsletter archive, and more.

Incindentally, the logo, The Windsock girl, or Flying Lady as she is also known, was created sometime in the 1970s by Shirley Camden, a cartoonist friend of SCV99s member Betty Hicks, the first editor of our chapter newsletter. We love her hair-flying personality.
