Dave from Global Sales Group Inc contacted me about converting his Chico, California company’s web sites from Drupal to WordPress. The main reasons for the conversion were that Drupal is notoriously hard to keep up-to-date and it is hard for non-pros to make changes. WordPress is a more user-friendly option.
Migrating from Drupal to WordPress can be daunting but, with proper preparation and the right plugin, it can be done relatively easily.
I used the FG Drupal to WordPress plugin from Frédéric Gilles, This plugin has great reviews and is very reliable. We needed to purchase the premium version but the cost was very reasonable. And the support is very good. I highly recommend this plugin.
The second requirement for this site is that the owners wanted the look and feel to be the same as the old Drupal site. This required some custom CSS and code snippets to make everything work.
